Adrian Peterson completes first full practice

Aug 14, 2012

Adrian Peterson completed his first full practice since his season ending knee injury in 2011. Peterson, a former consensus number one overall fantasy pick, believes he will be ready to play week one.

As reported on profootballtalk.com, Peterson told Tom Pelissero of 1500ESPN.com that ““Despite what everyone else had to say, that was my vision. I seen a vision. I knew it was going to be a journey, a path, to get closer to that vision, and I’m closer. I see it. It’s closer now. It was far away in the beginning, but I’ve been working hard and just moving forward.”

The fact that Peterson is likely going to be limited to start the season and the questions surrounding his knee injury have caused the former Oklahoma star to fall past the third round in many drafts.

While I don’t advise using a second round pick on Peterson, one could argue that 2/3 of a season from Adrian Peterson is worth more than a full season from other players going in the late third and early fourth rounds.
