While starring at tailback for the Oklahoma Sooners, Adrian Peterson was thought to be a physical freak and the perfect mix of power, speed and agility. After his remarkable early comeback from a severe knee injury in 2011, it appears as though we can add quick healer to his list of traits.

Peterson rushed for 84 yards and two touchdowns on just 17 carries against the Jaguars on Sunday, after many people believed he would be limited to just a few touches by Leslie Frazier and the Minnesota coaching staff.

Fantasy owners that started Peterson rolled the dice like online poker players at, but were rewarded for their gamble win one of the top running back performances of the week.

According to a report by the Associated Press, Peterson appears ready for a full workload after his stunning start to the 2012 season. Regarding Peterson’s quick return to the lineup Frazier said: ”The boost that he gave us, and our fans’ reaction when he was introduced, was outstanding and lifted our players. He’s special, without question.”
