Beanie Wells to start Training Camp on PUP List

Jul 25, 2012

Arizona Cardinals running back Beanie Wells will start training camp on the PUP list due to his lingering knee injury. This is somewhat of a concern considering the fat that the former Ohio State star was undoable to participate in off-season workouts due to the knee.

He underwent surgery on the knee in January in what was considered to be just a scope procedure to clean up the knee. According to a report on CBSsports.com, Wells admitted that the procedure was more complicated than first reported.

Fantasy owners should use caution when drafting Wells this season, and Ryan Williams may be a nice late round option. There is no doubting Wells’ talent, however, his lingering knee issues are becoming quite a concern.
