The Kahili Bell is ringing again in Chicago as the Bears have signed the former UCLA star to help add depth to a depleted running back corps. Bell,a four-year veteran from Santa Rosa, California, refused to sign a $700,000 contract with the team and was released by the team in August.
Matt Forte‘s high ankle sprain in week one has opened the door for Bell to return to the club to back up Michael Bush. Bell played in 12 games last season, rushing for 337 yards on 79 carries. He added 19 receptions for 133 yards and a score.
From a fantasy perspective, Bell could have some value in deeper 14 team leagues as Bush’s backup and a possible third down back. He would gain value in all formats should Bush join Forte on the sidelines with an injury.
