Tennessee Titan running back Chris Johnson disappointed fantasy owners last year with 1047 yards and four rushing touchdowns, after three-straight seasons of at least 1200 yards. He burned fantasy owners by failing to score a touchdown in the first four games of the season and went scoreless in the critical playoff weeks in December.
According to a report on PFT.com, Johnson is looking impressive at Titans training camp, and appears to have returned to his pre-2011 form. The report on PFT.com sites Ian Rappaport of NFL.com, who states: “I’ve been stunned,” said Rapoport, who is live at Titans training camp. “He looks like the Chris Johnson of old. … He’s fast, he’s in shape. Looks like he’s primed for a big year.”
Fantasy owners drafting in the middle of the first round could land the steal of the draft if Johnson does in fact return to his old form. It is important to remember that the former East Carlina star is just 26 years old, and should have more than a few solid seasons ahead. With his current ranking of eighth overall on MockDraftCentral’s ADP ranking, CJ2K could be an amazing value this season.
