The Philadelphia Eagles were shorthanded at practice today as starters Jeremy Maclin and DeSean Jackson rested on the sidelines due to injuries. Jackson, a former second round pick from the University of California, was held out of practice today due to an injured hamstring.
Jeff McLain of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports, “The Eagles wide receiver injured his hamstring during Wednesday’s practice and was seen walking around afterward with a large wrap of ice on his left leg.”
Although it is still early in the week, it does not look promising for Michael Vick owners looking to have a full compliment of weapons for Sunday’s home opener against the Ravens.
Rookie Damaris Johnson will likely start if Maclin is unable to go, with veteran Jason Avant seeing more action as well.
