Donald Brown was impressive last week as he returned from a knee injury, but fantasy owners need to resist the urge from inserting him, or his backup Vick Ballard, into their starting lineups this week.
Brown missed Thursday’s practice, and while it is unclear if it was a day of rest or a result from last weeks game, it is enough for me to assume that he is not fully healed. He will likely suit up this week, but with the Dolphins boasting an elite run defense of late (rank third in fewest fantasy points allowed to opposing RB’s over the last 5 weeks), he isn’t worth your time. A running back with a full workload is difficult to start against Miami, and with Indianapolis likely using a committee, neither Brown nor Ballard rank any better than a desperation play this week.
Andrew Luck has appeared more comfortable at home, one more factor that could play into a lack of commitment to the ground game.
