Rookie running back Doug Martin is turning heads at Buccaneers camp, earning comparisons to other star ball carriers like Ray Rice and Maurice Jones-Drew.
Tampa Bay traded up on draft day to select martin as the 31st overall pick, hoping that the former Boise State star would provide the team with a viable tailback along with LaGarrette Blount. According to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times, Martin looks like the best running back on the team.
“Martin has quickly established himself as the Bucs’ most complete back” writes Stroud. “He makes sharp cuts and explodes through the hole. He can power through arm tackles, he is stout in pass protection, runs great routes and has soft hands.”
Fantasy owners should place a mark next to Martin on their draft sheets, as he is a player with tons of upside this season. Martin finished a stellar collegiate career with 3431 yards and 45 total touchdowns. He is currently ranked
