Eric Decker gave fantasy owners a breakout season in 2011, catching a career high 44 balls for 612 yards and 8 touchdowns in a Denver offense led by Tim Tebow. With his 44 catches coming in an run-first offense led by the much maligned Tebow, it begs to question how well the third year player from the University of Minnesota will do with Peyton Manning throwing the ball.
SI.com’s Peter King visited Denver’s training camp on Saturday and observed Peyton and the passing game. According to King: “Decker’s a potential star trolling the middle, sure to be among the league leaders in receptions if healthy for 16 games.”
With an ADP of 101 overall and the 37th Wr taken off the board on Mock Draft Central’s latest mock draft rankings, fantasy owners are not buying a repeat performance from Decker. He may not put up Austin Collie type numbers, but Decker should be a nice threat over the middle for Manning, and could put up excellent numbers is PPR leagues.
