Let the fantasy chaos begin again. Fred Jackson has practiced all week long and, barring a setback, is expected to return to action in Indianapolis this week.
I am typically cautious when it comes to activating players in your fantasy lineup after a concussion, but this seems like a great week to return to the field. The Colts have an average run defense at best, and the Bills figure to pound the rock in an effort to keep Andrew Luck on the sidelines. CJ Spiller has done nothing to lose touches, so I expect him to lead the backfield (roughly a 3:2 ratio, with the upside of a 2:1 ratio). But Jackson is the better short yardage runner, meaning that Jackson’s carries could come in the redzone.
Spiller is the safer back this week, but don’t automatically bench Jackson, as he figures to get his share of opportunities to produce.
Jackson has scored 3 touchdowns in his last three road games, with all three of those games coming against teams that give up fewer fantasy points per week to opposing running backs.
