Fred Jackson is expected to play this weekend when his suddenly hot Bills team hosts the 1-2 Patriots on Sunday. Jackson sprained in his right knee in an ugly week one loss to the New York Jets, which opened the door for fantasy darling CJ Spiller. The roles have reversed this week, as Spiller is expected to miss this weeks game.
I’ve got Jackson as not much more than a solid flex play this week, as I am pessimistic about him receiving a full workload. It is also very possible that the Bills are playing from behind, thus not staying committed to the running game. The real fantasy news here is the decreased value for Tashard Choice. He was a popular waiver wire add this week based on his fill in duty last week (91 rushing yards) and a favorable match up against the Pats run defense. I’d expect a near 50-50 split when it comes to carries for these two running backs, making neither a strong fantasy play this week.
