Sunday was a bad day for Bills fans, and things are getting worse instead of better. Fred Jackson suffered an early knee injury, leaving the door open for a CJ Spiller explosion. Jackson was banged up last year, and now has to be considered a risky option for the rest of 2012.
CJ Spiller racked up some impressive totals (194 total yards with a TD), but much of that production came with the Bills hopelessly behind. However, Spiller should be added in all formats as he will assume the bulk of the carries in Buffalo. His ceiling is even higher in PPR leagues, as the Bills are comfortable using him in a variety of formations.
I would caution against extreme optimism, as the Bills square off against the elite defense of the 49ers and seemingly improved front lines of the Patriots and Browns. In fact, based on schedule, I prefer Alfred Morris over the next 4 weeks than Spiller.
