The Buffalo Bills received a beating by the host Jets on Sunday, losing 48 to 28 before a sold-out crowd at MetLife Stadium. To add injury to insult – yes, I know it is usually the other way – Buffalo may have lost wide receiver David Nelson for the majority of the season with a severe knee injury.
On a good note, it does not appear as though Fred Jackson’s injury is quite as severe as Nelson. As reported on Buffalonews.com, head coach Chang Gailey said after the game that “Fred doesn’t look as bad as David. We don’t know how bad David is, but it doesn’t look good right now.”
CJ Spiller excelled in Jackson’s absence, rushing for 169 yards and a touchdown on just 14 carries, while adding another 25 yards in the air. If for some odd reason he is not owned in your league, we highly recommend picking up Spiller ASAP.
We will know more about Jackson’s status after an MRI on Monday, but it does look like he could miss next week’s game as the Bills host the Kansas City Chiefs.
