Robert Griffin III will be looking to duplicate the success from his NFL debut on Sunday, but will likely have to do so without his leading receiver. Pierre Garcon (foot), who caught 4 balls for 109 yards and a TD last week, has been extremely limited all week in practice, and while he dawns the “questionable” tag, he is considered a long shot to play on Sunday.
The numbers were impressive for Garcon, but the majority of his damage came on a 88 yard TD play. Griffin didn’t rely on Garcon much after the first 20 minutes, as he benefited from a strong running game that kept the Saints defense honest. If he can get similar production from Alfred Morris (28 carries for 96 yards and 2 scores), there is little reason to consider RGIII anything but a top 10 option against the Rams.
