When it comes to the Minnesota Vikings offense, they have two objectives: get the ball to Adrian Peterson or get the ball to Percy Harvin. With the latter being deemed “extremely doubtful” for Sunday’s showdown with the Lions, Peterson figures to see a full workload, and then some.
Christian Ponder has struggled mightily of late, and the subtraction of his top threat isn’t likely to change that. The Lions have given up 10 touchdowns on the ground, more than 81% of NFL teams. We all knew it would take some time, but Peterson finally looks healthy, and with no real threats anywhere else on this offense, it is reasonable to think he could lead all RB’s in rushing attempts this weekend.
You should feel confident with AP as an RB1 this week, as he should record 20+ carries and is always a threat to find the endzone.
