Joseph Addai cut by Patriots

Jul 26, 2012

According to a report by Mary Paoletti of CSNNE.com, veteran running back Joseph Addai was cut by the Patriots one day before training camp begins.

Paoletti reports that Addai “was struggling during his conditioning test and simply “quit.” He was not long in New England after that.”

The 29-year-old former LSU star will look to sign on with another club after his sudden release. He has a career rushing average of just 57.1 yards per game with 48 total touchdowns. After showing much promise in his first two seasons with the Colts, Addai played in just 20 games over the final two seasons with the team.
