Jim Wyatt of the Nashville Tennessean reports via twitter that Kenny Britt underwent a procedure on his knee to alleviate swelling. The procedure was simple in terms of knee surgies, however it is his third procedure on the same knee in just 10 months.
From a statistical standpoint, Kenny Britt has been one of the most explosive performers over the past two seasons, yet injuries and off-field issues have made him a huge risk. If Britt was able to reach the minimum of five games to be included in our 2012 Wide Receiver CPR ratings, his elite CPR rating would have been among the elite WRs.
As of the date of publication, Kenny Britt is the 27th ranked wide receiver on MockdraftCentral, and the 76 player taken overall. If he is able to return and play at the same level as he did over the past two seasons, Britt could be a steal this season. However, if his knee injury continues to plague him well into the regular season, he could be a waste of a sixth round pick.
