The departure of Michael Bush to the Chicago Bears was welcome news for Darren McFadden owners looking for the former Arkansas star to be the goal line back for the Raiders in 2012.
That assumption appears to be true, as offensive coordinator Gregg Knapp told reporters today he wants McFadden to handle short yardage and goal line carries.
As reported by Vic Tafur of the San Francsico Chronicle, Knapp said that “he’s always been partial to “your No. 1 back being your goal-line back”
McFadden’s big play ability makes him one of the players with the biggest upside this season, however, his history of injuries makes him only of the riskier players to take in the first two rounds.
If McFadden is able to play a full 16 game season, he could produce top 5 fantasy stats. Unfortunately, the Little Rock native has never played in more than 13 games in his four year NFL career.
