Dallas Cowboy wide receiver Miles Austin will likely miss the entire preseason due to his injured hamstring. As reported on PFT.com, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told reporters after the game that Austin is “I wouldn’t discount it, but he’s not one of the ones that I have coming back.”
Austin was limited to just 10 games last season due to a hamstring injury, and could continue to be limited in 2012. The former Monmouth star had a breakout season in 2009, with 1320 yards on 81 catches in just 9 starts for the Cowboys.
From a fantasy perspective, Austin could be an excellent value at his current ADP of 46th overall. He and quarterback Tony Romo have an excellent rapport and the Cowboys should be a high power offense in 2012. However, if his hamstring continues to hinder his production, he could be a waste of a fourth round pick.
