Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin will not play Sunday against the Lions. According to a report on Profootballtalk.com, Harvin will not suit up against Detroit due to his severely sprained ankle.
The Vikings have a bye week next week and an extra week for Harvin to rest would allow him to heal properly. Michael Jenkins will get more snaps with Harvin on the bench, while rookie Jarius Wright has been activated and could play a decent role in Minnesota’s offensive scheme on Sunday.
Fantasy owners in need of a bye week play should consider adding Jenkins. He is no Percy Harvin and will not put up Harvin type numbers, however, he could get more looks this week and may reach the end zone.
