Rashard Mendenhall (knee) is expected to make his season debut this Sunday against the Eagles. His health is far from a guarantee, which is why I am benching him in all leagues this week. That being said, he should be watched carefully this weekend, as his Steelers have plenty of juicy matchups ahead.
After they host the Eagles, they only have three good run defenses left on the schedule. Starting with week 6, they play three defenses in the bottom third of the league over the next month. If he looks healthy this Sunday, try to acquire his services, as this is a player destined to peak as the season progresses.
Worth noting: If your league has its semifinals starting in week 16, Mendenhall could easily be a RB2 for your postseason. Pittsburgh hosts the Bengals and Browns in the games final two weeks.
