In a sign that head coach Mike Shanahan is not completely sold on Roy Helu or Tim Hightower, the Redskins have reportedly had internal talks about adding either Cedric Benson or Ryan Grant.
As reported by Jason La Canfora via twitter, the Redskins are mulling the possibility of adding running back depth with Grant or Benson. This could be a case of Shanahanigans, however, it may just be another reason to avoid Redskins backs in your drafts this season.
Helu showed tons of promise last season, but the return of Hightower already made him a risky pick this season. As of the date of publication, Helu is getting drafted ahead of safer options like Donald Brown and Jahvid Best.
