Report: Peyton Hillis and Jamaal Charles to have even workload

Aug 31, 2012

Adam Teicher of the Kansas City Star said that the Chiefs intend on using a near 50-50 split in the workload of carries this season, with Peyton Hillis and Jamaal Charles getting equal work.

Teicher said on PFT Live that the Chiefs intend on giving both Hillis and Charles 250 carries this season. If Hillis does in fact get 250 carries this season – and the majority of goal line touches – look for him to be a solid number 2 running back in all formats. We have been pushing Hillis as one of the steals of this draft, and this latest news makes us feel even more confident in our position on the former Browns star.

At first glance, this news may sound bad for Charles owners. However, less carries for the speedy Charles should keep him more fresh to break longer runs, thus keeping his value as a viable fantasy RB in tact.
