Robert Griffin‘s mobility hurt him this week as he suffered a concussion on a rushing attempt against the Atlanta Falcons, but he doesn’t expect to miss next weekends game against the Vikings.
Griffin’s ability to make plays comes with its fair share of risk, but that is what makes him great. Some may compare his style to that ofMike Vick, but his size makes him much less vulnerable to injury. If you’re counting on Griffin for your fantasy team, you’ll want to both keep tabs on his status and his playing style this week.
Mobile quarterbacks are great because they play with reckless abandon. That obviously comes with a high level of risk, but the reward outweighs the risk more often than not. As a young QB, it’ll be interesting to see if Griffin is urged by the Redskins to take fewer chances. My guess is that they talk to him about it, but he will continue to be an instinctive signal caller, good news for his fantasy owners. He is far from a lock to play this Sunday, so stay tuned for the results on his concussion tests.
